A.J. Plach began in the fire service in 2006 as an on-call member at a Fire Department near Appleton, Wisconsin.  In 2010, he moved to central Iowa to become a career firefighter, where he was promoted to Fire Training Officer in 2020.   He oversees the development and delivery of the Fire Department’s different training needs and the construction and maintenance of the city’s container-based training facility. A.J. is also involved with the Iowa Fire Service Training Bureau, assisting with certification project evaluation and processing in the Certification and Accreditation Division.
