About the event
: ย Under-staffed, combination, and volunteer departments expect their members to do multiple functions on the fire ground. This program combines "The Big Four": The first 5 minutes, stretching, searching, and ground ladders. These are the most critical tasks the 1st arriving companies need to perform flawlessly. This course will help the attendees develop the skills required to accomplish these tasks. We utilize a reality-based training style that will instill confidence in the attendee when operating as the 1st or 2nd due company on an under-staffed department. The instructors will manipulate the environment with emotional components to challenge the firefighter's tempo. High-level scenarios combine all the functions practiced in a fast-paced, realistic storyline.ย Conference Summary
