About the event
The Bridgeport Fire Department is hosting our Gary Sinise Foundation Heavy Vehicle Rescue School in Bridgeport, WV. This program is open enrollment and presented free of charge as part of the Training to Perform Under Pressure and Gary Sinise Foundations Firefighter Training Program.
**Max Enrollment of 2 Students per Department**
𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: Over 400,000 accidents involving large trucks yearly result in over 130,00 Injuries and 12,000 fatalities. Incidents involving large trucks present a unique challenge to rescuers due to their large size, heavy weight, and contents. This three-day program will provide students with the knowledge, skills, and ability required to successfully operate in one of these incidents. Day one will begin with a classroom presentation on performing a load assessment and developing a stabilization and lifting plan.
