About the event
The Water Can is an essential tool in combating fires, especially in situations where hose line support is unavailable. Our program emphasizes the practical and tactical use of the Water Can under live fire conditions, ensuring that participants gain hands-on experience and confidence. This unique program prepares firefighters for these types of life-or-death incidents. In this class, attendees will combine Forcible Entry, Search, and Water Can confidence to help enhance performance. Our approach combines theoretical knowledge with practical demonstrations. Utilizing our reality-based training methodology, we will gradually work to accomplish all training objectives and finish with high-level scenarios under live fire.
Course Objectives:
Understanding the Basics and Capabilities of the Water Can: Participants will learn the fundamental aspects of the Water Can, including its capabilities and limitations in firefighting scenarios.
Mastering Can Modifications: This module focuses on enhancing the Water Can’s versatility and user-friendliness through various modifications.
