Greg Payeur
Greg began his career in the fire service in 1999 as a firefighter with the Pittsfield Fire Department, where he currently serves as a Captain. He also serves as the Director of Operations for the Washtenaw County Technical Rescue Team. Greg's true passion lies in the rescue field, particularly in vehicle extrication and technical rescue. With over 20 years of experience as an instructor, he has developed a strong skill set across passenger and heavy vehicle extrication, heavy rigging, machine rescue, structural collapse, and trench rescue. His expertise in heavy rigging is backed by a national certification as a Heavy Rigger through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCO), as well as specialized qualifications from Crane Tech and Crosby. Greg has refined his expertise through years of real-world incidents and hands-on training. He is an instructor for multiple agencies, including the State of Michigan Firefighter Training Council, the MUSAR Training Foundation, Emergency Response Solutions International, and is the Co-Owner of Training to Perform Under Pressure.
